Our Work
At Cell4Change we use technology to bridge the ECD education divide amongst children from low income households and their teachers. Using donated mobile devices, children up to 6 years old and their educators access ECD content via our device. We help them to become tech savvy – boosting their ability to read, write, spell and do Maths before they turn 10.

To provide digital content to the ECD Centres in order to enhance the children’s literacy and numeracy skills development in preparation for primary education.

How You Can Help
DonatE a device
Donate your smart phone, tablet or laptop to us. We will have it refurbished and ensure that a child or educator in a township can use it.
Volunteer
Put your skills to use by training teachers, programming content for our apps, doing a career talk for our children. Volunteers are always welcome.
Fundraising
Host a Cell4Change event where you invite your friends and family to donate their smartphones and devices to us.
Advocate
Help spread the word and encourage your division/company to host a Cell4Change smartphone and tablet donation drive.
Our Model
Cell4Change is working with major cellphone providers and the telecomm’s sector to access unused mobile devices (cellphones, iPads and tablets). We ensure all donated devices are reconfigured, so that our children have a high quality digital experience when using them as education tools. All relevant ECD content is uploaded via the Cell4Change device for use by learners aged one month to 6 years at our partner ECD Centre for learners and teachers to access.
